Objectives

By the end of this section you should be able to play a pot red off the spot to leave a middle pocket cross loser and you should be able to improvise when around the red spot.

Theory

For this Section you will need to read break building, stun and the parts of The official Rules of English Billiards that are related to playing the game (do not read sections such as 'equipment' e.t.c.

Shots

• White to red Cannon close to the D
• White to red mid-table cannon to push the red to the pocket
• Break-Off followed by the next shot, Break-Off return

Putting it all together

Once you have practised the three individual shots in this lesson it's time to put them together into a break.

The Playing Test for this lesson will enable you to evaluate your performance before moving on to take the Basic Billiards Examination.
